Being mainly a Richmond Wedding Photographer, I had a chance to shoot outside of the Richmond area and back around my neck of the woods.
Spring is a magical time of year, with new growth and rebirth all around us. For couples planning their engagement sessions, spring offers the perfect backdrop for capturing the start of their journey together. From blooming flowers to the return of sunny days, there’s no shortage of beautiful locations and natural lighting to create stunning images.
At our recent spring engagement session, I had the pleasure of capturing the love and joy of a couple deeply in love. Here are some of the highlights from their unforgettable shoot.
We chose a local park for our spring engagement session, as it offered a wide variety of scenic backdrops. From flowering trees to lush greenery, Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia provided a stunning natural setting for our couple to take their photos. Hollins University also had a charming pond that created a tranquil and romantic atmosphere.
Zach and Alyson chose light and airy outfits that perfectly complemented the spring theme. The bride-to-be wore a flowy pastel dress that caught the wind beautifully and gave her a carefree and whimsical look. The groom-to-be wore a casual yet chic outfit that matched perfectly with his bride’s dress.
I used the natural light and surroundings to create stunning and romantic images. I captured the couple’s love and chemistry through candid shots and posed portraits. We also made sure to get close-up shots of the beautiful details, such as the bride’s engagement ring and the couple’s sweet embrace.
Spring is the perfect time for engagement sessions, as it offers an array of beautiful and natural backdrops. My recent spring engagement session, in Roanoke, Virginia, was a perfect example of how a well-planned and executed shoot can create unforgettable memories for the couple. With the right location, outfits, props, and photography, any couple can create stunning images that showcase their love and personalities.
